The latest AR glasses by Xiaomi will provide an image at…

The Xiaomi brand presented glasses, which became one of the central exhibits of the exhibition in Barcelona, Spain. The vendor claims that this is the first device in the world that provides a picture comparable to that of Apple's Retina displays. The developers declare a resolution of at least 58 pixels per degree and a peak image brightness of 1200 nits.
The novelty connects to the smartphone via a wireless channel, but the signal transmission delays do not exceed the values that a cable connection gives. The camera system provides clear recognition of control gestures. With the help of them, management of spatial objects with various functionalities is implemented - you can turn on the lamp in the "smart home" network or "capture" and display your favorite TV show on the glasses screen. The glasses weigh just over 100 grams.
The glasses of the device are made of electrochromic material. Due to this, the lenses can be darkened for a more complete immersion in the virtual world. If they transmit light, it becomes possible to overlay virtual content on a real picture. Another use case could be watching a video from TikTok or YouTube in better quality. The novelty will be compatible with all smartphones of the Xiaomi 13 series. It is also acceptable to work with phones from other manufacturers built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Spaces platform.
From the hardware details of the device, it is known that it is assembled on a Snapdragon XR2 Gen1 chip and is powered by an original silicon-oxygen-based battery. The main body materials are carbon fiber and silicon alloy. While the device has the status of a prototype, plans to start mass production of Xiaomi glasses have not yet been announced.
