Jimmy Keene is sentenced to 10 years for drug dealing, but he receives a unique offer. If he gets a confession from another prisoner - a suspect in several murders of Larry Hall, who is due to be released soon - he will be released. But to complete such a task is very difficult, because Larry and other prisoners may suspect Jimmy of a double game.

The mini-series tells the true story of Jimmy Keane, who is imprisoned for 10 years for drugs and weapons and, of course, really wants to be released. Jimmy is a playboy, enterprising and terribly sociable guy. He does not go into his pocket for a word, but he has a charisma that disposes. And, lo and behold, he receives an offer of unprecedented generosity. The special services offer a deal - to sit down with a serial killer who has gone and find out from him where the bodies of the murdered girls are hidden. In return, a full pardon.

By all means, we are hinted that this is a rare chance to correct mistakes, which is not given to everyone. And in general, even from the first two episodes it is clear that the theme of redemption will run like a red line through the entire project.

Michael R. Roskam doesn't go down the drain, he doesn't put on a long exposure, using flashbacks in time, he moves the plot forward. This is not to say that nothing happened in two episodes and time wasted.

In general, it is already possible to assume how events will develop and it is unlikely that we will be surprised by shocking twists and turns, but the staging and performance of the two main actors does not allow turning off the series and confidently holds attention.

From not understood. A maximum security prison for the most dangerous criminals was shown as a sanatorium. All decorously, nobly, eat deliciously and communicate pleasantly with each other. And Jimmy suspiciously quickly wins over even hardened police officers who forget that they are convicted of a not-so-innocent article and talk to him in a friendly way about family, children and life an hour after they met.

I would like to believe that further the series will not slide into clichés and vulgarity, but will rely more on the original source, not letting go of morality for the sake of entertainment.
